Before your new home is delivered, it's important to know whether your property is in a flood zone. Flood zones can affect financing, insurance, and setup requirements, so checking early helps avoid surprises at closing.
How to Check
- Visit FEMA's Flood Map Service Center.
- Enter the address of your home site and click Search.
- View the map to see whether your property falls in a flood zone.
- Take a screenshot of the results.
Can't find your address? Try searching a nearby road or town and zooming in to your property.
Share Your Results
Upload your screenshot to the flood zone task in your customer portal, or bring it to your next visit. If your property is in a flood zone, or you're not sure how to read the map, just let us know and we'll help you with next steps.
Flood maps are updated over time, and your lender or insurance provider may require an official flood determination.
